Application & fees
It is preferable for a student to come in to the school at the beginning of a session but not required; students will be accepted at any time during a session.
The admission procedure is conducted by personal interview. Due to the one-on-one nature of our teaching method and limited enrollment, it is important to speak personally with prospective students during the application process. Individuals must complete the application and return it to the Executive Director, Christopher Holt. At that time, Christopher Holt, will set up an interview, either in person or via telephone, with the applicant and one of the senior instructors. Applicants are asked to compile a portfolio of their best work, preferably exhibiting the scope of material usage as well as subject matter.
There are many aspects that are considered in the selection process; not only the quality and promise shown in the student's portfolio but also the individual's commitment to pursuing art.
Prospective students are welcome at the school; please call in advance to set up an appointment. FALC is now accepting part time students. Contact the office for further information on attending part time.
The fee for one session at FALC is $2,000. Upon acceptance, you will be requested to confirm your place with a non-refundable deposit (check, money order or bank transfer) in the amount of $300. Tuition balance in the amount of $1,700, must be paid by the first day of class. A payment plan may be discussed and implemented at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Partial refunds may be requested within the first 5 weeks of the session. Any other period of absence during the term, whatever the motivation or duration, will not be eligible for a refund.
